Sloat Shaw
Sloat is an artist and educator based in Boston, MA. Her work includes paintings and prints that explore Earth’s cycles and the dreamtime that underlies everyday reality. She integrates pigments, stitch-work, and archetypal imagery to access the unconscious. Meditation is central to her practice, and she guides students in channeling energy to uncover hidden realms of creativity.

Sloat teaches studio art, leads workshops, and offers guest lectures and artist talks internationally. Her work draws deeply from time spent in Tibet, the Indian Himalayas, and a residency with Zen Gallery and teaching at Ho Chi Minh University in Vietnam. She reflects,“The Earth is not silent—she moves, responds, remembers. When we become quiet enough, we can hear her. That’s when I paint.”
