Gift Wrapping Workshop

Create an original handmade masterpiece designed specifically to your wrapped gift and to your recipient. Design a wrap that's "outside the box" with hand-drawn embellishments including hand lettering, painting with ink and other art supplies, and use dimensional materials as embellishments to create a dressing for your gift that's a work of art in itself! Using humble-but-chic brown Kraft paper as our canvas, you will transform your package into a showpiece. You'll learn how to take an embellishment and illustrate a story around it- using the dimensions of the box as additional surface to express thematic design.

Join artist Kathy Weller for 2 hours of teaching, tips and tricks to take your gift wrap skills to the next level of creativity. Discover new ways to express your appreciation of your recipient by creating packaging just for them, thereby giving them two gifts in one! There will be an emphasis on using recycled materials as unexpected and unique embellishments. This is one workshop that will pay off all holiday season!

"Our Wednesday night art class is a wonderful, artistic diversion during a hectic work week. Our wonderful teacher is an absolute delight and a masterful artist. The atmosphere is casual and light hearted, yet we learn so much from week to week. I would highly recommend the art class to anyone who is interested in tapping into their artistic self."
