Hala Ahwach, is a Syrian artist from the city of Homs. She studied sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the university of Damascus. Since her graduation she has insisted on presenting daring and different works of art. This was evident in her first individual exhibit at the Ishtar gallery in Damascus, which clearly demonstrated her courage and asserted her challenge to conventional academic art by exploring new aspects in the relationship of the object with the great emptiness surrounding it.
